Buffalo Fantasy Draft 2007 Redo
If we only knew!!! I had some time on my hands, so I figured I would look back at the draft and see what players each of us should have taken. Knowing what we know now of course!!!

Round 1

A. Johnson
Drafted: RB Rudi Johnson (Grade C)

Should have drafted QB Tom Brady or TRADED the draft pick...Who needs RB’s??!..His Cousin Paul didn’t have a RB for most of the season and he started 8-0. Brady would have won him at least 4 games. Or he should have shopped the pick for additional picks.

Pickreign
Drafted: RB Willie Parker (Grade A)

Should have drafted RB Willie Parker. Can’t really grill Pickreign for taking Parker. He is one of the most reliable RB’s in the league. However, Tom Brady was there for the taking. But for this little experiment, Brady is off the board.

Randall
Traded Pick :P. Johnson Drafted: WR Reggie Wayne (Grade A-)

I have no problem with Randall trading this pick. However, He gave up one of the Top WR’s in the Game in TJ Houshmandzadeh for an unproven QB Matt Leinart and LB switched DL Shawn Merriman. With that all said. Johnson should have drafted WR Randy Moss. Can you imagine if Johnson had Moss instead Wayne!!! WOW

Gullo
Traded Pick: Hannigan Drafted: QB Tom Brady (Grade A+)

The biggest trade of the year. At the time, I thought Hannigan was giving up too much. But, now it looks like a steal! However, assuming Brady was off the board at this point. Hannigan should sit tight at the 5 th pick and take either Tony Romo or Derek Anderson. Gullo drafting QB Tony Romo would be the right move here!

Hannigan
Traded Pick: Gullo Drafted : QB Donovan McNabb (Grade B-)

Hannigan should have stayed here at the 5 th pick and drafted QB Derek Anderson. Hannigan would have looked like a genius with this pick and probably would have been laughed at even more then the time he selected a TE named Chris Mangum. However, he got the last laugh in this draft!!! Well done Hannigan!!

Randall
Traded Pick: Gigante Drafted: RB Cedric Benson (Grade D+)

Randall should have stayed put and drafted RB Adrian Peterson. Peterson with the 6 th pick would have been a steal. And that is after he traded down. Peterson, Addai, and James. What a back field!!!

Stowe
Drafted: RB Clinton Portis (Grade B+)

Should have drafted RB Marshawn Lynch. Portis is not a bad pick. But Lynch is the better pick. Lynch is only going to get better. Whereas, Portis is on the tail end of his career.

Pellegrino
Drafted: RB Marshawn Lynch (Grade A)

Should have drafted WR Braylon Edwards. This just shows us how good of a drafted Pellegrino had. He got Lynch with the 8 th pick and eventually got Edwards in the 4 th. However, knowing what we know now. He would need to take Edwards with the 8 th overall pick. Great drafting Pellegrino!!!

Teichman
Drafted: WR Terrell Owens (Grade A)

Should have taken WR Terrell Owens. This would be a close call with Reggie Wayne. Can’t go wrong with either pick.

Zeitz
Drafted: WR Marcus Colston (Grade B)

Should have taken WR Reggie Wayne. At times, Colston looks worthy of this pick and by the end of the season he might make a case. But you can’t argue Reggie Wayne would have been a better choice if he was still on the board.

Luksch
Drafted: RB Adrian Peterson (Grade A+)

With Luksch’s 1 st and 2 nd round picks already off the board. Luksch would have a tough choice between RB Clinton Portis and Marion Barber or even WR’s Wes Welker and Plaxico Burress. The safest pick would be RB M. Barber.

Gigante
Traded Pick: Randall Drafted: RB Thomas Jones (Grade B-)

Gigante would have tried extremely hard to trade up. However, he would eventually have to draft RB Rudi Johnson. A little bit of an upgrade than Cedric Benson and Gigante didn’t have to move up to get him.

Round 2

A. Johnson RB C.Portis
Many backs left to choose from after taking Brady in the 1 st round.

Pickreign RB W. Welker
A Solid pick in the 2nd

Randall WR P. Burress
Would have replace TJ Whosyourmama

Gullo RB R. Brown
Even with the injury worth keeping for the two years

Hannigan TE J.Witten
Best TE in the draft

P. Johnson RB L. White
Needs a back and White is a risk with a high reward

Stowe QB D. McNabb
Nice Value pick

Pellegrino WR Marcus Colston
Could be a steal!

Teichman WR J. Galloway
Can’t pass on an Ohio State guy!!

Zeitz RB B. Jacobs
Slow start, but strong finish

Luksch WR Ca. Johnson
Going to be a Stud, Wouldn’t like having him and Roy Williams though!!!

Gigante RB. K. Jones
Tough call, with C. Benson, T. Jones, and D. Foster all on the board!!
