A HUGE thank you to Buffalo Fantasy and Mike/Mark for their use of the website. Mike was awesome at working with me all year to fix any issues. Overall, I thought it was a huge success. Thank you Mike for all of your hard work!! We all appreciate it!!!

Congratulations to Scott C (Earnhardt)!!! He took 1st place with a final score of 34480: a 1415 point cushion over 2nd place! Paul (I Love Erin Andrews) takes 2nd place and Dave (Sheila's Men) takes 3rd. A small portion of the entry fee for this year went towards paying our IT dept for all of their hard work, so here's the breakdown of payouts.
1st Place: $380
2nd Place: $75
3rd Place: $25
Congratulations again!!! Scott & Paul--please send addresses so I know where to send the winnings. Dave...you ain't getting shit! Thanks for a fun year everyone and hope to see everyone back next year. With so many new teams, it'll be interesting to see these teams back with more experience!!!

Week 16 scores are posted. For week 17, please remember that you must trade 1 player this week, but have the option of trading two. You must maintain only one Level 1 at ea. position.
Please make mandatory trade on buffalofantasy website, then email andrewchatt2004@yahoo.com with your mandatory trade and your optional trade so it may be tracked properly. Be sure to indicate which players are going in and which are coming out.
If I don't receive an email from you by Sunday at 1, I will assume that you made only the mandatory trade.
Good luck in the final week. 1st place is in good shape, but 2nd and 3rd are still up for grabs!!

Scores are posted for week 15. Team Earnhardt continues to stretch it out...not looking good for 22 other teams as we head into the final 2 weeks.
Also, as a reminder, you are allowed TWO trades prior to week 17, but are only required to trade one. You MUST email me at andrewchatt2004@yahoo.com with both trades with players x and y in, players a and b out. Be sure to check Level 1 status so you're not trading to include two Level 1 players for the final week (if you try to trade for two Level 1 players, that trade or trades will be disallowed).

Thursday Games

In the upcoming weeks, there are numerous Thurs games. If you wish to trade for a Thurs night player on a given week, you must trade by kickoff of that game, or Thanksgiving Day, by kickoff of the first game. If you wish to wait to trade for the Sunday games, the deadline remains 1pm Sunday. Trades will be tracked accordingly to ensure there are no issues. This will also be true for Saturday games when applicable later in the season.

For you people that are stuck in 2001...We've just updated some of our code to work properly with the worst web browser ever, IE6. You should see some cosmetic improvements to the site, along with the links in the header now working properly. If you see any other issues, please give me a shout in the rumor mill.

BF Chat

We finally have a chat application on Buffalo Fantasy! I've been trying for some time to get a chat page up and running and I was finally successful today. The chat will allow multiple BF members to talk in real time, at anytime. Hopefully you guys will find the page useful in trash talk, advice, or just screwing around. In order to use Chat, you must be logged in(it will automatically recognize you). The page supports private messaging for anything you want to keep quite. The Chat isn't meant to replace the Rumor Mill, but hopefully it will make Sunday afternoons a little more fun.

Week 1 Begins!

Now that Week 1 has officially kicked off, we have opened up the Scores and Power Ranking sections of DreamTeam.
The Scores section will let you see every team's lineup for that week. The Power Rankings will keep a running tally of total points for the NFL players in DT.
As a reminder, now that Week 1 has started, you can only drop 1 player each week. Any player that is dropped between now and the kick off of Week 2 will count towards Week 2's trade.
One more note for the new members of BuffaloFantasy. If you would like to receive these news message via email, or rumor mill messages via text or email, you can turn that on/off under the Edit Profile section of the site.

Level 1 Player Change

Just a quick side note, Tom Brady was added as a Tier 1 QB and Jake Delhomme was dropped at Tier 1. Despite his injury, Brady has been a consistent Tier 1 QB.

DreamTeam Officially Kicks Off!

Football season is barely a month away, and therefore, fantasy football is here for 2009! Buffalo Fantasy is bringing a new league to the site this year with the addition of DreamTeam.
This is a league anyone can play in, with unlimited participats.
To register for the league, you must first have an account with BuffaloFantasy. You can do that by clicking "Sign Up" in the top right of your screen. Once you have an account and have logged in, you need to Register for the DreamTeam league (see link above "DT Registration"). After you have registered, it's time to create a team!
Click on "Waiver Wire" and it will take you to a screen with all the required positions--click a position & scroll through the lists to select the players you desire.
Level 1 players are again determined by 2008 yardage stats for each position. Note: it is not mandatory to have a Level 1 player on your roster at each position, but you cannot have more than one Level 1 player per position. Level 1 players are noted in the player lists. Once on your team, each Level 1 player is denoted with an asterisk next to his name.
Prior to week 1, you have unlimited drop/add player capabilities. Rosters are locked on Thurs, Sept 10th at 8pm, kickoff of the first game of the season. After rosters lock, you MUST trade 1 and only 1 player per week (starting with week 2). Hint: this means plan around the bye weeks . There is a -1000 point penalty for any week you do not trade.
Trade every position at least once during the season - no single player can remain on your roster for all 17 weeks. Players still needing to be traded are highlighted in blue font on your roster page. Each player not traded at least once throughout the season will result in a -1000 point penalty.
ALL trades are due by kickoff of the first game that week (week 1 is Thurs Sept 10th), even if you do not have any players in that game.
Trade submission: be sure of your trade, as you can only submit once per week. If you change your mind and go in to re-submit your trade after the week has kicked off, the system will count that as your next week's trade (e.g. if on Fri before week 2, you trade once, then change your mind and trade again on Sunday after kickoff, the system will count your Fri trade as week 2, and your Sunday trade as week 3. It will not replace the Fri week 2 trade). You will see a note before dropping a player which week it counts towards. If you accidentally mess up, we'll try to fix it for you. Just post a message on the rumor mill.
